A recognised B degree in Public Administration, or relevant fields
Up to 8 years’ experience with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience at Senior Management Level
Proven track record of success at leading transformation
Extensive knowledge of the local government sector, with specific emphasis on legislation governing the sector and how this interfaces with other spheres of government
Ability in making high risk decisions of a long term and strategic nature
Compliance with MFMA unit standards as per prescribed by Regulation 493 of 15 June 2007 as published in Government Gazette 29967 to 15 June 2007

The purpose of the post is to, subject to legislated context responsibilities, national standards and the directives of the Strategic Executive Director, oversee and manage the rendering of an efficient and effective Corporate and Shared Service in relation to Human Resource Management, Tshwane Leadership and Management Academy, Organisational Efficiency Improvement, Corporate Property and Logistics Services; Corporate Fleet Management and Management and Administration Support in the City of Tshwane. In reporting to the City Manager, the Strategic Executive Director will play a pivotal role in developing and directing implementation of strategies and policies to ensure the most effective utilisation of this department’s resources to support the CoT’s City Development Strategy, and ensure that Council is kept informed around relevant Corporate and Shared Services issues and is able to make appropriate best practice decisions
Key Performance Areas:
The Strategic Executive Director: Corporate and Shared Services is responsible and accountable for the management and oversight of the establishment, stabilization; consolidation and sustainability of the following Core and Support Key Performance Areas in relation to their Outcomes, Outputs and Inputs:
1.Human Resource Management
2.Tshwane Leadership and Management Academy
3.Organisational Efficiency Improvement
4.Corporate Property and Logistics Services
5.Corporate Fleet Management
6.Management and Administration Support
7.Legislated Context Responsibilities, more specifically (but not limited to) to the context of the following:
